Stefano Agostinelli, NEXOR Medical partner, tells us how he discovered this innovative medical ventilation system and why he decided to add it to the NEXOR Medical portfolio.

Ventilation is one of the critical points in hospitals and medical centers, especially in areas where surgical interventions are performed. Ensuring proper air circulation in these areas is one of the priorities of healthcare managers around the world.

Opragon, the innovative medical ventilation system distributed by NEXOR Medical, is the most efficient and innovative solution to ensure maximum safety and the best working conditions in these critical areas.

NEXOR Medical is the exclusive authorized distributor of Opragon in Italy and Stefano Agostinelli tells us how and why he decided to go for this technology that has revolutionized ventilation in operating rooms.

Opragon, a unique product

“I like to choose products that are unique, that have a very marked differential factor. I always look for products that have something to say and that bring something to the market, to customers and to end users,” he explains.

Stefano Agostinelli discovered Opragon almost by chance in 2015, while he was doing some research about circular air filtration systems for a tender, and immediately understood the advantages that this technology offers.

At that time, Opragon already had a significant implementation in Sweden in operating rooms and clinical areas, but in the rest of the world it was still a little-known hospital ventilation system.

“We move in a very competitive and price-driven market and I strongly believe that offering new and differentiating solutions is what really brings value. That’s why I’m constantly looking for something different. Something that makes people talk about it,” adds Stefano.

An efficient and innovative hospital ventilation system

Combining design and technology, Opragon ensures the highest standards of purity, disinfection and comfort in clinics and medical centers of all types. This innovative hospital ventilation system reduces the presence of bacteria and contaminants in the air, reduces noise and improves air circulation.

The system combines traditional mixed ventilation (which dilutes the number of bacteria-carrying particles) at the periphery of the room with a unidirectional flow in the center of the room.

The result: maximum safety for patients and optimal working conditions for healthcare professionals in operating rooms.

“The reaction of the customers was of immediate interest. In fact, a very curious thing happened to me during a presentation with a potential customer. I only had 30 minutes to talk to him and he told me to go straight to the point, to present something interesting or to get out of the room. And I immediately thought, yes, I have something that will interest you. And so it was. In the end, the meeting lasted 2 hours!,” Stefano tells us.

“One of my mottos is ‘There is another way to do things’. And Opragon is an example of that,” he concludes.
